SS501 Being Asked About DBSK's 'Disbanding' Rumours

SS501 members consist of Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Jong. They arrived 31 Aug in Sabah's Kota Kinabalu for some music video shootings.

SS501 made use of some spare time to have meet up with the medias (PressCon) and autograph signing session. This is the first time that SS501 has their event in Malaysia.

MC: It's rumored that DBSK are disbanding. With the current rising popularity of SS501, there is a high chance of replacing DBSK to be the most popular group in Korea. As both groups (DBSK and SS501) belong to 2 different managing company, SS501 didn't reply to this question.

HJ: Being an artist, we are more concerned about our work. For those complicated problem, we don't really understand. Because we just do our part in our singing and acting career. No matter what, we belong to 2 different companies, we don't really know what's the real situation. Being the Korean group, we hope this matter can be settled properly. We also hope everybody does not have a misconception in Korean group. Both groups (DBSK and SS501) are working very hard, hope everybody can give your supports.

Best Album Sales For First Half Of 2009 – THSK #10

In the first half of 2009, Tohoshinki ranked #10 for best album sales in Japan for all albums released this year.ORICON recently released the sale figures rankings for the first half of 2009, for albums, singles, DVDs and more, and Tohoshinki’s album “The Secret Code” came in tenth with sale figures of 250,000.Mr Children ranked #1 with their album “SUPERMARKET FANTASY” with sales of 1,200,000, the only artiste to cross the 1,000,000 mark. EXILE’s ballad best album, “EXILE BALLAD BEST”, came in second.

In third place, is DREAMS COME TRUE’s album “DO YOU DREAMS COME TRUE”.Besides this, remiomen, Ayumi Hamasaki, unicorn and more ranked in the top 10. BoA’s American debut album that was released in Japan ranked #25 with sales of 130,000.On the other hand, Tohoshinki’s 27th single “Share The World/We Are!” ranked #15 for singles sales in the first half of the year. All of Tohoshinki’s singles and albums released this year made the charts.

Big Bang & Dong Bang Shin Ki Star Wars Special Stage

On December 29th on SBS “Gayo Festival” will see the two musical acts actually compete. Two of Kpop’s biggest names Big Bang and Dong Bang Shin Ki will have their first ever joint stage!

They will be performing together for SBS year-end concert ‘2008 SBS Gayo Festival’. One of the staff for the concert announced on 24th December, “The 2 groups are preparing for a performance called ‘Star Wars’.”

It is also confirmed that Big Bang TaeYang and Dong Bang Shin Ki Xiah JunSu will also be having a showdown of musical composition.

“After the piano performance session, they will also have a song battle. Xiah JunSu is scheduled to perform first, followed by TaeYang.”.

Arghhh cannot wait..I'm more excited...Wish that they give best performance..

TVXQ listens to Big Bang's music; SeungRi is in Junsu's fanclub

Q: Do you have a song you like to sing?

Seungri: Songs that I like to listen to a lot is "Undwenayo" by Hwisong-shi. And before I debut, I really really like "Timeless" by Dong bang shin ki-hyung especially Junsu-hyung, whenever I listen to songs that he sings, I always feel very touched (laughs). I've learnt a lot from Dongbangshinki-hyung, I also registered in Junsu-hyung's fan cafe and post lots of news and photos ^^. Because getting to know hyungs makes Bigbang and have Seungri in Bigbang. From now on I will try harder to show better and better products !

Q: Do you have a person you admire and really want to meet?

Seungri: Like I've just said, I really admire Junsu-hyung from Dongbangshinki and I've learned a lot of things from him. I've bought Dongbangshinki's CD and every time I listen to their songs I feel very good. To tell you the truth, if I get the chance to have a meal with Junsu-hyung for once it would be so great. (laughs)

Junsu's Interview

Q: Recently, do you have a song that you like to sing?

Junsu: Recently I've heard about a group called "BIGBANG" a lot. And the song "Koh Jid Mal" is very good (laughs). Especially when I found out that G-Dragon composed it himself, it makes me like the song even more.

(Yunho cuts in)

Yunho: One day, Junsu bought BIG BANG cd back home and we feel very honored that we bought Bigbang's songs to listen to. Then one day while Junsu was having dinner and watching TV, Junsu listens to "Koh Jid Mal" from Bigbang all the time.

Q: If so, have you heard about Seungri-shi from Bigbang being your fanclub?

Junsu: Aaaaa... yes, I've heard about this before and I feel very thankful for everyone in Bigbang. Once I went on a show and got to meet Bigbang. I shook all of their hands and when Seungri shook my hands he won't let go. We looked at each other in the eye and Seungri said "I've always admire you", when he does that I smiled and he smiled, and Seungri greeted me (said hello) again and again. I was so surprised then. (laughs)

The competition between TVXQ and Big Bang

The competition between TVXQ and Big Bang has aroused many people’s interest.

TVXQ held their fall mini concert on the 21st at Seoul Plaza. During the press conference, they were asked, “In the 1 year and 7 months after you’ve left Korea, many new competitions have sprouted. What do you feel about the talks of competition?” They answered, “We’ve been away from Korea for 1 year and 7 months, but we’ve been in Japan for all that time. Not being in Korea was like taking a break, so we have to come back and work hard.”

They also said, “The new groups such as Big Bang and SHINee are really good. Because of them, the music world has become more energetic. Looking at it like that, it makes us really happy.”

“Each singer grows and matures, and earns more popularity. This adds energy and fun to the music world. Because of them, we’ve been motivated to do better. Under this kind of situation, we can show everyone TVXQ’s unique qualities. We feel very happy about this.”

TVXQ has revealed that their fourth album theme “Mirotic” was Jaejoong’s idea. “Miro” means a feeling you cannot get rid of, and adding “Tic” to it made a new word. “Even though this gives fans a fresh feeling, we’ve always been determined to created an album where people can’t pull themselves out of it.”

Also, TVXQ’s fall mini concert on the 21st was the official beginning of their fourth album promotions. This time’s event was for young adults to mingle with the general public, and create a passionate atmosphere.

TVXQ performed 5 songs from their new album at their concert, including the title song “Mirotic,” and will also be revealing a series of small stories from the 1 year and 7 months they’ve been in Japan.

Young Woong Jae Joong & Micky Yoochun ‘Show Off Their Ability To Produce Music’

Male group, Dong Bang Shin Gi will release a special edition of their 4th album on November 12th.

Four additional tracks were recorded for the special edition including ‘Don’t Cry My Lover’ composed by Young Woong Jae Joong and ‘Love Bye Love’ composed by Micky Yoochun.

Dong Bang Shin Gi’s 4th album title track, ‘Spell (MIROTIC)’ has taken first places on various charts in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and is still enjoying immense popularity, and now there’s much interest in the 4 new tracks about to be released.

The newly recorded track by Young Woong Jae Joong, ‘Don’t Cry My Lover’ is sorrowful ballad track. The song’s unique lyrics and it’s beautiful melody reflect the sentiments of one’s remorseful heart not being able to hold onto love and having to let go.

Written, composed and arranged by Micky Yoochun, ‘Love Bye Love’ is an impressive song containing ironic lyrics and sad melody that releases the pain of love with a clear conscious. Participating with the introduction narration is Go Ahra which adds even more to the sorrowful track.
