DSP Media released an announcement recently about SS501’s upcoming single album. It seems that there have been some changes to the group’s comeback, they will be releasing mini album instead of a full length album. The group’s comeback stage has also been set to be on 23rd October on KBS Music Bank. Go under the cut to find out more.

This is the announcement released by DSP Media: "Hello. This is DSP media. The fast changes about SS501 is releasing a Mini-album call rebirth instead of a Full Album must have made Triple S daze. This mini album was planned as a regular album yet we decide to change it into a Mini Album instead. It is decided due to the tight schedule (of the boys currently have) it is impossible to add more (many) activities and that is why we have decided to release a Mini Album instead a Full Album".

Kim Hyun Joong & Seung Ri In Family Outing Ep 64

For the next episode of Family Outing will be more interesting with 2 Idol are coming as a guest.

Seug Ri will be taking over Daesung place for an episode 64.

The episode will more exciting after it was revealed that SS501's leader, Kim Hyun Joong will be the next Family Outing guest. Kim Hyun Joong will be appearing as a guest family member in a village at Gangwon-do. Kim Hyun Joong had received lots of love as Yoon Ji Hoo earlier in the year in Boys Over Flowers, and is expected to receive plenty of attention from the Family Outing "sisters", Lee Hyori and Park Si Yeon.

Kim Hyun-joong has been in Japan for a promotion but he has been diagnosed with the Swine Flu that he get treatments and postpone return to Korea.

Kim has been resting because he thought he was just tired, but when he had been to the hospital in Korea it became known that it was Swine Flu. Let's hope that this young star will recover soon!

SS501 Being Asked About DBSK's 'Disbanding' Rumours

SS501 members consist of Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Jong. They arrived 31 Aug in Sabah's Kota Kinabalu for some music video shootings.

SS501 made use of some spare time to have meet up with the medias (PressCon) and autograph signing session. This is the first time that SS501 has their event in Malaysia.

MC: It's rumored that DBSK are disbanding. With the current rising popularity of SS501, there is a high chance of replacing DBSK to be the most popular group in Korea. As both groups (DBSK and SS501) belong to 2 different managing company, SS501 didn't reply to this question.

TVXQ Cannot Disband

TVXQ member's Micky Yoochun, YoungWoong Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu have filed for a Exclusive Contract Validity Suspension and Provisional Disposition Request and have had people speculating a disbandment of the group. Right now, however, the opinion that TVXQ should be preserved and not disbanded, voiced by SM, the members and the fans, is gaining a lot of support.

SM stated on August 1st that TVXQ is a representative group of, not only the members or SM, but of Korea and Asia as a whole and they must fulfill that by continuing on with their activities as a group. It could be seen clearly that SM would stop any notion of a disbandment.

They have gone into finding a resolution for this dispute with Lee Sooman returning to Korea as soon as he heard the news. The key to fixing this dispute is how much Lee Sooman is willing to listen to the members and how much he is willing to concede to the members' demands.

He has been noted to be very disappointed with the fact that many are seeing Micky Yoohcun, YoungWoong Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu's lawsuit against their agency as a means of breaking away from the agency and disbanding.

When lawyer Lim Sang-hyuk, who is representing the three members in this lawsuit, releases their official statement on the 3rd, the exact details of the lawsuit will be revealed. But as of now, the three members have voiced their opinions that they truly want to stay together as the five members of TVXQ and have never thought of going off as a group of three as rumors have implied.

This means that if conflicts about the cosmetic company and the exclusive contract are resolved through a compromise, there will be no chance of the group disbanding; even a small step will suffice in this.

The three members' willingness to participate in the SM Town Concert on the 16th and the numerous A-Nation performances shows that there are no conflicts amongst the members that are big enough to cause worries or doubts and have significantly slowed down fears circulating about a disbandment.

The efforts of fans who wish to keep TVXQ as it is can be seen everywhere. On Daum Agora, a petition that was created to keep TVXQ as it is has already gained 13,000 signatures in one day. There are even talks of silent protests. However, some fans are saying that too much involvement from the fans may in fact hurt TVXQ's lawsuit and have warned other fans to just wait and watch quietly.

There is a growing concern that too much attention on TVXQ may continue on to create rumors that will make the entire process more complicated than it should be.

There have been rumors that there is a deep rift between Micky Yoochun, YoungWoong Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu's side and U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin's side and that the dispute between the three members and their agency ever since last April has become so irreperable that there is no hope for a solution. However, these rumors are only rumors and will only create more misunderstandings between the members and the agency and will only become a hindrance, not a helper.

The K-pop industry has been watching this sitation with concern, and many have stated that they wish this situation will end well and cut the continuous cycle of the disbandment of groups because of disputes between celebrities and their agencies that causes a lot of pain to the fans.

ss501 - 1st Asia Tour Concert

After 2 years, SS501 meet their fans again on stage. The 1st stop of their Asia at The

1st Gymnasium at Olympic Park, Seoul on 1st August.

    

The concert start with screaming and loud cheering

from their fans to show their support upon entering on stage. They performed past released songs, solo song and also 5 new songs in their 2nd album songs. 

In the concert, Kim Hyun Joong mentioned that to thank the support of fans from all countries, ss501 members and their dance  partners have been practicing day & night since 2 months ago. Even before the concert, they had practiced up till 6am in the morning.    

The concert started off with "Deja vu". Combining with special stage effects and vigorous dance by the members, making the fans cheers fanatically. They also sung "U R Man", "Because I am stupid" ending song of 'Boys over flowers', while singing these songs, Kim Hyun Joong and Park Jung Min let the fans sing-a-long together.    

The 2nd part of the concert is solo performance by individual members. In Kim Hyun Joong solo performance, he tore off his shirt and showing off his body and muscle, making all the fans shout and scream. This has pushed the atmosphere to its climax. The other member, Kim Hyung Joon also show off his music talent by singing "Hey G" which its music was created by him.   SS501 also performed new songs from the 2nd new album. Name of the songs are "Crazy for you", "Love Like This", "One Day" and "Song for Fans"."Song for Fans" is a gift which SS501 members wanted to give to their fans. They hope to convey their appreciation for the fans support via the lyrics of the song.    

Actor Kim Bun, Lee Min Ho and Actress Goo Hye Sun have also show their support to SS501 by showing their presence in the concert.   

Starting from now until 1st half of next year, using Seoul as the 1st stop, SS501 will be continuing their Asia tour to Japan, Thailand, Hongkong, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries.

Yunho Reading Script Practice

MBC new drama “Heading to The Ground” (script by Kim Sol-ji / director Park Sung-soo) announced the beginning of its first script drama practice.   

Last July 25th, at Ilsan Dream Center on 6th floor, in practice room gathered together the PD Park Sung-soo, script writer Kim Sol-ji, and the main actors U-Know Yunho,Go Ara, Lee Sang-yoon, and Lee Hyun-ji for reading script practice.   

Reading with breathing-adjustment, the heart is hot with passion which is not defeated by anyone. Yunho plays as soccer player Cha Bong-goon while the role of daughter of the team owner who becomes his agent and is aiming for success, Kang Hye-bin is played by Ara.   

They read the Hanggul script in their hand carefully in order not to make foolish mistakes such as overlook the letters with one another.   The MBC official who attended the scene, “As soon as he returned from Japan, he headed directly to reading room at Ilsan Dream Center for reading script practice.

 Yunho will not win his character by only read his lines, he also possesed 100% passion as if it’s already in shooting situation, and he’s always in good attitude. As for lines that need supervision when it’s read which of course also takes stage directions, not only he heard the explanations carefully, but in every acts he showed, it’s shown a lot of enthusiasm.” he said   In addition, when his character Bong-goon who usually shows playful attitudes has to increase the voice with anger, Despite the training script, with a self-confidence on his face he proceed to express the anger feelings fully. The endless misunderstanding and repeatedly failures with Kang Hye-bin that ends in the two keep on bickering will unfold a romantic love story.   In addition, although Cha Bong-goon has as many as 3 times wandered between life and death, you’re going to be deeply impressed in having a victorious life, a drama with humanized spectacle.

Yunho Lead Role For Heading To The Ground Drama

The popular group DBSK’s leader, Jung Yunho, will be co-operating with the elegant Go Ara on the new MBC Drama "Heading To The Ground". This is the first time Jung Yunho is doing a drama although he has, already, in the past, acted in a few short comedy dramas with the other members. 

The feeling of holding the main lead of is different, the character Jung Yunho is supposed to act as is Cha Bong-Gun is a person with no luck and through endless hard work and talent did he succeed in being part of the national soccer team.

   

On the 19th of July, Jung Yunho and many others who were selected gathered and went through 5 hours of auditions before being chosen.

During the audition, Jung Yunho was noted as “Asian Super Idol” and did his all in acting out this character. His amazing performance and ample emotions engraved a deep impression in the producing company. A representative said: “When I saw him acting, it felt very similar to the male lead in the drama series and furthermore, Jung Yunho’s training before debut was indeed harsh, very similar to the character here.” Jung Yunho, who usually likes soccer too, said: “I love this character alot and I felt touched when I saw the script. 

I would love to want bring out this true feelings through acting.”   has a total of 16 episodes, and will be shown on the 9th of September through MBC channel. SS501, following the release of their 3rd single in March last year, are back together after 1 year and 3 months. After the release of the 3rd single “Deja Vu”, Kim Hyun Joong as “Yoon Ji Hoo” in KBS2’s “Boys over Flower”, Park Jung Min as “Danny” in musical “Grease”, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Joon as SS501’s special album “U R Man” conducted activities, in the 2nd half of 2009 they’re back together to conduct activities as SS501.

Current plans are to release the 2nd official album together with their Asia Tour which starts in August. Before then, SS501’s collection album which contains solo songs and the instrumental versions by the members will be released.

SS501’s collection album will first be released via online means (*note: not very sure if this is correct..), starting from 18th June with Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyun Joong’s new songs, followed by Park Jung Min, Kim Hyung Joon and the instrumental versions on 30th June, the album will be officially released on 3rd July.

SS501’s collection album will contain a poster shot in Las Vegas, USA and also the blockbuster drama-styled MV that the members acted in. The first time they’ve filmed a 20 minutes MV since their debut. Kim Hyun Joong and Park Jung Min act as killers who raise their guns to each other over a woman, Kim Kyu Jong acts as a separate killer, Heo Young Saeng and Kim Hyun Joong will also appear in the MV. The MV has already completed filming on 30th May.

Before the MV is released, from 15th to 19th June, a teaser video will be released daily (15th – Kyu Jong/ 16th – Hyun Joong/ 17th – Hyung Joon/ 18th – Young Saeng/ 19th – Jung Min). Subsequently, on the 22th and 29th, behind the scenes videos will be released on GOMTV (www.gomtv.com)

32 000 Fans At DBSK Thailand Concert

The 5 member, male-group, TVXQ, mobilised 32,000 fans at their Thailand concert, and the performances ended successfully.In a comment made on 29 June, SM Entertainment said, “This is “TVXQ 3rd Asia Tour Mirotic in Bangkok”, which was held on 27 & 28 June (Thailand time), at the Impact Arena. At the venue, it was filled with around 32,000 fans, and they heated up the atmosphere.”

According to the company, as part of this year’s “Asia Tour Mirotic”, the composition and performances of the concerts will be similar to that of the Seoul concerts that were held earlier this year in February. Thus, the screens and stage equipment were replicated in its entirety.

Best Album Sales For First Half Of 2009 – THSK #10

In the first half of 2009, Tohoshinki ranked #10 for best album sales in Japan for all albums released this year.ORICON recently released the sale figures rankings for the first half of 2009, for albums, singles, DVDs and more, and Tohoshinki’s album “The Secret Code” came in tenth with sale figures of 250,000.Mr Children ranked #1 with their album “SUPERMARKET FANTASY” with sales of 1,200,000, the only artiste to cross the 1,000,000 mark. EXILE’s ballad best album, “EXILE BALLAD BEST”, came in second.

In third place, is DREAMS COME TRUE’s album “DO YOU DREAMS COME TRUE”.Besides this, remiomen, Ayumi Hamasaki, unicorn and more ranked in the top 10. BoA’s American debut album that was released in Japan ranked #25 with sales of 130,000.On the other hand, Tohoshinki’s 27th single “Share The World/We Are!” ranked #15 for singles sales in the first half of the year. Big Bang 1st Japanese Single Promo

Big Bang will return to Japan by this week for their promo activities in Japan.
The promo activities will start concurrently upon the release of “My Heaven” single on June 24th as stated in the press conference held in Tokyo on May 13th.

Besides that, Big Bang will also be attending the MTV Video Music Awards Japan as one of celebrity guest held on May 30th at Japan Saitama Super Arena and will continue their stay in Japan afterwards.

Based on a phone conversation with Osen, a rep from the company stated that ”My Heaven” pv had been released in Japan and asking everyone to show interest and support for BigBang’s upcoming performances and activities there.

On June 24th, “My Heaven” will be released as a Digital Single simultaneously in 6 Asia countries like China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.

SS501's YoungSaeng talks about his friendship with DBSK and Suju

People Often Compare SS501 with TVXQ, I don't think of anyone as my rival, but people see TVXQ sunbae, who are now at the highest position as our rivals. Of course, we feel good, feel honoured.TVXQ has released a lot of albums and has risen to a very high position, but we are just preparing to rise.

This is common in the music industry. Just like H.O.T sunbae and Sechskies sunbae, perhaps because of rivals, it makes everything more meaningful.Very Close to TVXQ and Super Junior, I've been close to TVXQ and Super Junior from the very beginning, I think the viewers all know that. I was a trainee together with TVXQ's U-Know Yunho, Hero Jaejoong, Choikang Changmin, Super Junior's YeSung and HeeChul. I attended the same school with Choi SiWon and was even his classmate. I was really close to him at that time.

He had to go to China under his company's orders, but he would call me. In the end, we both debuted at almost the same time. We always played together when we were trainees, but meeting him now feels so weird.

A lot of New Artists Debuting I don't really know how to say this but a lot of strong, charming artists are debuting. Other artists start to feel stressed and work harder. I often look back to when I debuted to see the difference. New CF - Coke Cola Dynamic

SS5o1 Kim Hyun Joong (23) and Park Shin Hye (19) filming for Coke Cola’s upcoming product Dynamic.They have spend 2 days filming for a 30sec CF. It was said to be an awkward filming as this is the first time that the 2 are working together. And being on their 1st collaboration, they have to act the roles as couples.

This being said, Coke Cola’s Dynamic CF will be Kim Hyun Joong’s 5th CF after his filming of drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’. He also said, “I received the newcomer award as a singer (SS501), and then I get to act in a drama for the first time and get much populariy, the kind of luck that I could not imagine just keep coming.”Currently, Kim Hyun Joong has been back at practice in preparation of a release of a new album in July-August.

He revealed that he wished to move out to Asian and world stage in the future. And Park Hye Shin is currently preparing for a new mini series. She is also taking singing lessons.

Dong Bang Shin Ki was selected as Japan and South Korea’s Lotte Confectionary model for its ice cream product’s CF called Seolreim.

Lotte Confectionary spokesperson said, “TVXQ is the best in Asia, they’ve been gaining much popularity as a group, and each TVXQ member has variety of charisma which is appealing, as well as their sweet image which is suitable for Seolreim romantic image.

Thus they’re selected as CF model.”The shooting was taken on April 21st at a studio in NamyangJu, the director wanted to potray an image of a couple showing their love on a roof across the room which caused heart throbbed.

Junsu Injured

Guys, today I heard that our boy Xiah Junsu had injured before  Tohoshinki 4th LIVE TOUR 2009 Concert～The Secret Code~

Junsu foot had injured during the rehearsal that made it hard for him to walk, because of that, there was a discussion as to continue on with the concert or not, but Junsu thought of the fans who were waiting for this concert and wanted to participate in the ''LIVE'', so the plans changed quickly the form of dance without Junsu participated in it. 

Finally the first day of the tour was conducted safely. There was warm cheer from all audiences, thank you very much guys and please keep supporting them guys.

ss501 New Special Album

5-members idol group SS501 goes into a different challenge.SS501 Kim HyunJoong, Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Kim HyungJoon and Park JungMin, these 5 members will each record their solo songs and a special album is expected to be released in mid-May with a total of 5 songs.

There are instances that in new albums released by other popular idol group, they may have included solo songs by some of their members, however it is rare that the album is made up entirely of solo songs by each member of the group.On SS501’s part, they also have high expectations for this album.

SS501’s company DSP Media said on 23-Apr “SS501 will release their new official album in about July. On this note, they prepared this album with the special meaning of rewarding the fans who have supported them during this period when Kim HyunJoong acted for drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, activities for SS501 unit made up of Kim KyuJong Heo YoungSaeng Kim HyungJoon and Park Jungmin in musical.”

In addition, he expressed his confidence “Through this album, you will be able to feel the diversity and charms of each of the 5 members of SS501 at the same time.Meanwhile, SS501 will have a Korea-Japan joint fan meeting in Jeju island for 2 days 1 night from 02-May.

ss501 2009 Upcoming Fan Meeting

Five-man korean idol group SS501's upcoming fan meeting that's open to all fans caused a race to snatch up the seats.

SS501's agency, DSP, revealed, "There'll be an activity that lets fans travel together with SS501 in early May, and as Japanese and Korean fans are taking part, the response has been overwhelming. As such, the initial number of vacancies for 2 planes isn't enough, and a third plane has been added." In addition, "These 3 planes are chartered specially for the fans and SS501."

Initially, the airline's itinerary was for 2 planes to carry the fans and SS501 from Gimpo to Jeju or from Busan to Jeju, with SS501 serving the fans personally on board. But as the seats were snatched up in 2 hours, a response that was unexpected, so with the support of the airline, we've added another flight from Gimpo to Jeju for this activity."

DSP also mentioned "SS501 is thankful for the support of the fans and is looking forward to having fun at the fan meeting. They'll also work hard to show their best, to reciprocate the fans."

After arriving at Jeju Island on 2nd May, SS501 will carry out a 2 days 1 night event with the fans. The event will be held at Jeju Island's convention centre, and accommodations are currently booked for KAL hotel. There'll also be a garden party and various other activities held with the fans.

In mid-May, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Hyung Jun, Kim Kyu Jong, Heo Young Saeng and Park Jung Min, the 5 members of SS501 will release a special project album.

Kim Hyun Joong At DBSK 3rd Concert

Many sports stars, colleagues in the entertainment industry showed their interest in Popular Idol Group DBSK’s concert.

On 20th and 21st, DBSK’s concert took place at Seoul Olympic Park Stadium, with the title/name ‘DBSK THE 3rd ASIA TOUR CONCERT-MIROTIC ‘. In addition, the afternoon of 22nd February 4 pm, performances took place in the same stage. Three concerts, and in three days, 36,000 fans met.

The concerts were sold out in 15 minutes. Entertainers and sports stars were spotted during the concerts.

An official of the concert on 22nd revealed to Money Today Star News, ” Top Singer Lee Hyori, ‘Boys over Flowers’, SS501 member Kim Hyun joong and many other stars attended DBSK’s last concert which took place today (22nd).

The official also said “On the 21st & 22nd, many stars including swimming star Park Tae-Hwan, actor Yeon Jeong-hoon, famous model Kim Younggwang, and other sports stars, entertainers, models attended the concert.”

It has been known that talent Kim Hyun Joong had attended Dong Bang Shin Ki concert personally.

 Even his busy schedule filming KBS drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ he had went down personally to the concert.

It is known that Kim Hyun Joong andDong Bang Shin Ki member Hero Jae Joong are very close friends. He had went down to the concert that day to give his encouragement and support.
